<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<description>*Warning! This episode is not suitable for children! *
Ever since I was old enough to read the bible and understand it, I have come across the words “Fornication” and “Adultery” but did not know there was a difference. The two are closely related but they each mean something different. Most translations will use the words “sexual immorality” instead of “Fornication”. In the church at Corinth, a young man was committing sexual immorality with his stepmom! Yeah! He was having sex with his dad’s wife! And the bad thing was, the church was tolerating the sin and ignoring it! Paul says, “This can’t be happening and you need to deal with it immediately!”

<description>We revisit some strong language James used for his readers when he calls them, "Adulterers" and he tells them if they continue to be a friend with the world, then they are enemies of God. They, as well as we, cannot have it both ways. We are called to be holy, we have been washed in the blood of Christ, our sins have been forgiven, and we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Why then do we continue to live in sin? James says we are committing adultery and we need turn from our sin, draw near to God, He will draw near to us; that we should let our laughter turn to sadness, that we should have tears because of our sin, and our joy turn to gloom. The problem is, we are like Israel in Jeremiah 2! They couldn't admit they were in sin and their hearts had become callused! God even tells Israel they are worse than a prostitute and that they can teach a prostitute lessons. We have to realize who we are in Christ and live like it!

<description>How can this be? There were two people asking that same question seperating by three months. An angel comes to Mary, a virgin, a tells her she was going to have a baby and he would be the Savior of the world. She takes off to visit her relative, Elizabeth, for threee months and during that time, she begins to show. She comes home to see her soon-to-be-husband, Joseph, and he notices some changes in her body because she is showing...AND HE HASN'T HAD SEX WITH HER! "How can this be?" is a question I guarantee you he asked because he was going to divorce her before they were even married! Joseph was crushed. He laid down to get some rest and an angel comes to him in a dream and tells him, "Yo bro...this is God's will...everything is cool." How can this be? Two times, one excitingly asked and one asked with a broken heart. No matter our situation, God is in control and we need to focus on him. We need to keep the faith and trust Him.

<itunes:subtitle>Jesus continues to try to explain to people that he is the very Messiah they have been looking for but they just can't get past the idea that they know his family, and since they believe the Messiah will just show up, they don't believe him. And it comes to a boiling point at the end of the chapter as Jesus says two words, "I AM", and they pick up stones to stone him to death. But before the dialogue Jesus displays what we we as christians are to be about as he shows grace and mercy to a woman caught in adultery.</itunes:subtitle>
