When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! Guess who wasn’t there?!?! The man who was persecuting these Jesus followers—Saul who later became Paul! So there is a good reason for the people to question his authority...or is it? Paul saw Jesus and was commissioned by him to take the gospel to the Gentiles, and just like the original disciples, Paul was confirming his message with miracles. He calls the apostles “pillars” which in the Greek means “Pillars of fire” and Paul says, “These pillars of fire accepted me and Barnabas as co-workers; therefore, I am a pillar of fire too! He even tells them in detail about a trip he took to Jerusalem to tell the apostles the message he was preaching to the Gentiles and Paul reassures the Galatians that they were all in unity. These gifts would provide this: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers would fortify the believers so they could grow from spiritual babies to mature believers. What gift do you have? What role do you play in the church?
