<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<description>How many people have prayed and got nothing from God but crickets? They prayed with no response or get the response they didn’t want? They get discouraged and quit praying, reading their bibles, they no longer show up for services, and the next thing you know, they don’t want anything to do with God at all. Why does God not answer our every beckoning call? Doesn’t He know we are in trouble? In a pinch? Desperate?!?! Yes! Yes He does and He hears every prayer you have prayed and He does care. I don’t know why God chooses to answer and not to answer prayers...but this I do know...He is sovereign and without Him, we don’t have any hope! Hang on, keep grinding, DO NOT GIVE UP!

<itunes:subtitle>God has experienced everything we do therefore He has wisdom. He tells us to "ask Him for wisdom..."</itunes:subtitle>

<description>When our world is upside down and it seems like chaos is all we deal with, when it seems like we can’t catch a break because life is kicking our butt, James says, “Ask God for wisdom.” He has already told his readers that troubles will come, and now he says, “When trouble comes, ask God for wisdom.” For someone to have wisdom, they have to experience something, then, once on the other side of the storm, they have dealt with the issue, they have endured, and now they can help others who are facing similar situations. God knows what it’s like to lose a son, he knows what it’s like to watch a family member go through so much pain, he knows what it’s like to watch a child be bullied, beaten, and killed. God knows what we deal with on a daily basis and he can help because he has been through it, he has experience, he is full of wisdom, and James says God will give it liberally if we ask...AND not waver, or doubt. If life is freaking out and you can’t figure things out or you’re wondering how you’re going to make it, run to God and ask him for wisdom, ask him for help, trust him with everything you have, and he will direct your path!

<itunes:subtitle>Jesus tells his disciples and us, “Be persistent and if you keep on knocking, God will answer!” That is a promise from the mouth of Jesus himself…</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Jesus, as he does so eloquently, tells the disciples a story to illustrate the power of prayer and what is going on when we do pray. Some guy wasn’t prepared for the guests that will soon be arriving at his house so in a panic he goes to a neighbor’s house while they are all in the bed, knocks on the door, and asks for three loaves of bread and he explains why. The neighbor is reluctant because he was comfortable and wanted to go to sleep but the guy won’t take no for an answer and he keeps on knocking on the door. Realizing he won’t get any sleep unless if he gives this guy the bread, he gets up and gets the bread and gives it to the persistent neighbor. How many times have we prayed for something a time or two and gave up thinking God wasn’t going to answer? Jesus tells his disciples and us, “Be persistent and if you keep on knocking, God will answer!” That is a promise from the mouth of Jesus himself…
