That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! Because of all the work he has put into the church at Galatia and now they are turning to the law. 47:04 no <p>Paul calls the church at Galatia his “Dear Children” and then he says he feels as if he is going through labor pains over them again. Why would he say this? A man can’t have labor pains because a man cannot have children. What did Jesus say to Nicodemus in John 3? “Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Paul has labored, his life threatened everywhere he went as he travels around spreading the gospel, telling people how be saved. Those that hear the gospel and are obedient, Paul calls them his “Children” because their new birth took place under his ministry. The re-birth process was hard but well worth it because when he gets results, there is joy just like when a newborn baby comes into the world. She takes off to visit her relative, Elizabeth, for threee months and during that time, she begins to show. She comes home to see her soon-to-be-husband, Joseph, and he notices some changes in her body because she is showing...AND HE HASN'T HAD SEX WITH HER! "How can this be?" is a question I guarantee you he asked because he was going to divorce her before they were even married! Joseph was crushed. He laid down to get some rest and an angel comes to him in a dream and tells him, "Yo bro...this is God's will...everything is cool." How can this be? Two times, one excitingly asked and one asked with a broken heart. No matter our situation, God is in control and we need to focus on him. Luke introduces his readers to a guy named Simeon who was told by God Himself, that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. He wasn’t even suppose to be at the Temple that day but he was led by the Holy Spirit, and because he listened and allowed the Spirit to guide him, Simeon went to the Temple and he not only saw, but held the baby in his arms. Are we listening to the Holy Spirit and allowing him to guide us? If not, we are missing out some of God’s greatest blessings! And when Simeon saw Jesus he said he could now die in peace. Death is imminent and cannot be avoided. When you think about death are you filled with fear or peace? A couple of says later she leaves to visit her cousin Elizabeth who is six months pregnant with John the Baptizer. Mary stays for three months and comes home. This would be a shock to Joseph! Why? The other is young and is basically trying to figure out where her place is in society. One has been praying to God for a long time to have a baby yet she never did and has passed the age of being able to get pregnant…way past. The other is a virgin and is more concerned with helping her parents around the house. I’m sure having a baby was the farthest thing from her mind. Both have a visitation from an angel and both become pregnant miraculously! Some people may work hard all of their lives and never get what they have been praying for while some have the “it” factor meaning they don’t work hard and things come easy for them. Elizabeth was old, too old to have children, yet she stayed faithful to God and He came through when she couldn’t do it on her own. Mary was a teenager, not even married yet, so she wasn’t looking to have a child, yet she is blessed to be chosen as the mother of the savior of the world—Jesus the Messiah!
