When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! Why? Because, when Paul was imprisoned a second time in Rome and new he was about to face death eye to eye, everybody left him, except Luke. He felt what it was like to be abandoned by his closest friends and coworkers which is why he reaches out to Timothy telling him he was eager to see him. Onesiphorus searched all over Rome until he found Paul, and after finding him in prison chained like a criminal, Onesiphorus made many trips to visit Paul. He supported himself by selling tents as he traveled around the known world at that time but it wasn’t always enough to make ends meet because he talks about being content, even when he was starving! He points out the generosity of the church at Philippi and how they supported his work by sending money to him. He tells ten that the same God that supplied his needs will supply theirs. God has taken care of everything we need to have a relationship with Him as we live this life on earth and in the life to come in eternity. This is God’s plan and He already had this plan in place long before He spoke anything into existence! He knew man would blow it and he had a plan in place, that He would put on flesh, be tempted in every way we are, be the sinless sacrifice so that our sins can be forgiven, rose out of the tomb taking the authority from death and the grave, and now sits at the Father’s right hand interceding for those who accept His wonderful gift of salvation.
