Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

We are taking a deep dive into 1 Corinthians 15:1 and 2 to see what Paul says about the gospel of Jesus and how it changes our lives. What we are seeing with some of the Corinthians is that the gospel hasn’t really made a difference in their lives and they continue to live in sin. Paul has warned them on multiple occasions to quit the sin and get in right relationship with Jesus and with those in the church, but they continue to discredit Paul, his authority, his apostleship, and his message because if they can discredit him, it makes them feel as though they can defend their sinful actions instead of repenting and allowing Jesus and the gospel to change them. Were they saved? Are they saved? Paul puts conditions on their faith and we break it down in this podcast!

Jesus is not your homie, your pal, your best bud. True, he is near to us, in fact, he lives inside of us and the bible says he is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, but we need to realize he is holy and we should have reverence for him. The early church had an “awe” of him and for God. He is a part of the Godhead, He is the Holy One of God, and we should respect him as such. Being the Son of God, Jesus received affirmation from his Father when he was baptized. The Father says, “This is my son that I love in whom I am well pleased.” Fathers, our children need our affirmation. If they don’t get it from us, they’ll get it from someone else and it won’t come from a godly source more than likely. Tell your children what they mean to you and how much you love them as much as you possibly can. They need that affirmation from YOU!
