When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! What does Paul mean when he says, “You reap what you sow?” Is he saying like these ministries today, “If you sow money into my ministry and make me rich, you will receive a big ole blessing from God later.”? 100% no! That is not what he is saying at all! He is telling the church at Galatia to quit being conceited and selfish, to sow into the lives of others and help pull them out of sin. He is saying we are to have such communion, fellowship with one another that we can share burdens with another so we can pray for one another and walk along side of each other to keep us from falling. That...that is the context of “reaping what you sow.” If we sow into others, when we need help, they will be here to help but if we stay focused on ourselves, when the time comes that we need help, it won’t be there! money, bank, reap, sow, harvest, communion, fellowship, friends, family, selfish This is a concept I have heard all of my life and it has been completely out of context. They couldn't believe this woman had wasted so much money on this oil and the should have spent the money on the poor. Yet, before the night is over, one of them will betray Jesus in exchange for thirty pieces of silver. The time has come... One can read Exodus 12 to learn about the Passover, which is where the Lord’s Supper, or communion, came from. A lamb without any imperfections had to be sacrificed and its blood had to be put over the doorposts of the people’s home. When the death angel came along and saw the blood of the sacrificed lamb, he would “Pass Over” that house and whoever was inside the house was saved from death. 1 Corinthians 5:7 says Jesus is our Passover Lamb. It is by the sacrifice he made on the cross, the blood he shed, and the empty tomb that our sins are forgiven and when death comes, we will spend eternity with God…if and only if we are washed in the blood of our Passover Lamb, Jesus. We take communion to remind us of that sacrifice Jesus gave on our behalf so why do so many churches today not take the time to partake of communion?
