<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<description>Jesus was having a conversation with some of John the Baptizer’s disciples when they were interrupted by a leader from the synagogue named Jairus. His 12 year old daughter was dying and he knew his only hope was to find Jesus and have him come to his house and lay his hands on her so he could heal her sickness before she died. Everything was going great until a woman with an issue of blood interrupted the mission. She had been bleeding for 12 years and was instantly healed when she touched Jesus’ clothes. He stops to have a conversation with the woman and while they were talking, Jairus gets news that his daughter died. He had lost all hope but Jesus tells him to not be afraid and to have faith. When they arrive at the house Jesus tells the paid mourners that the girl is asleep and they laugh at him to his face. He sends them out, then raises Jairus’ daughter back to life! Who’s laughing now?

<itunes:subtitle>The disciples have noticed there’s something special about the time Jesus spends with the Father in prayer so they came to him and said, “Teach us how to pray…”</itunes:subtitle>

<description>How often do you pray? Every day? Once in a while? Only when trouble comes your way? When you are desperate? Jesus was constantly going off alone to spend some time with the Father in prayer. Prayer is how we communicate with God, it’s us having a conversation with Him. The disciples have watched Jesus do this for so long and they noticed there’s something special about the time Jesus spends with the Father so they came to him and said, “Teach us how to pray…” Prayer is critical in our daily walk with God and if we aren’t praying, our relationship is suffering just like our earthly relationships do between souses, friends, and loved ones. If there isn’t much communication, then the relationship is weak and it dwindles away. If there is strong communication, then the relationship is strong. God wants a strong relationship with you and me and He is waiting to have a conversation so start talking! And as you talk, just like in any good conversation, you have to listen! Jesus tells his disciples how they should pray to the Father and we can do the same today…
