When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! That is the order of authority. 40:27 no <p>Paul is going to bring order to the chaos at the church in Corinth. Since we started studying this letter, we have seen all kinds of chaos in this church and it is going to get worse before it gets better. Paul begins to instruct them how to conduct themselves as they come together as one body and he immediately establishes the order of authority which tells me there were some women who were out of order and dishonoring the authority God has set in place. Any time this takes place, chaos ensues. Paul goes back to Creation when God created the human race, the order He created male and female and how He created male and female. God created the male human being then placed him in the Garden of Eden. Then He took a rib from the male human being, and created a female human being. This is why Paul says God is the ultimate authority, man is next in authority, then the female. The people of Crete are described as “liars, cruel animals, and lazy gluttons.” However, for those who had died to their old selves and are filled with the Holy Spirit, they have crucified that old man and have become a new creation in Christ, are those whose hearts the Father prunes and they produce good fruit. They will be easy top spot because they will look like Jesus! Paul says these people who claim to know God but do not look like Him are worthless and good for nothing. The reason people do deny God exists is because of their own sin, their wickedness. If people admit God created the earth and the heavens, then they would be held accountable for their choices, they would have to deal with the consequences, so it's easier for people to say God does not exist. Therefore, they don't have to worry about any consequences to their choices and they can live any way they please. The creation still thinks they are better than the Creator today! 52:02 no <p>The religious leaders from all over the region have been trying to back Jesus in a corner for three years. They have tried to trip him up so they could prove that he was not the Messiah yet they never accomplished their goal. Therefore, they turned to violence and try to stone him several times. The ones who should have known that Jesus was the Messiah, literally hated God! The very One who they claimed to love and to be serving! And here they are on their turf, the holy city of Jerusalem, Jesus was there, literally to die for the sins of man, to accomplish the will of God, and what they are asking Jesus here is, “Who do you think you are?” And nothing has changed much today! The creation still thinks they are better than the Creator! And Christian, before we slam the religious think about this question, “Am I doing the same they did?” and what I mean by that is: do we trust Jesus or do we question everything he does, everything about him?
