<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<description>The word Bewitched means someone has used something that is artificial, something fake to trick, to deceive…like a magician tricking our eyes and making us believe what they are doing is real. That’s exactly what has happened to the church at Galatia. Paul says, “I came to you and painted a clear picture of Jesus and what he did on the cross, yet you have believed a fake.” It may look real and it may sound real, but it’s 100% fake! I brought you the real deal because I got it from the mouth of Jesus himself and yet, you have so quickly removed yourself from God! Don't fall for the fakes!

<itunes:subtitle>Anger is a fruit of the flesh, not the Spirit! James makes it a point to say, “Be SLOW to anger!” How can we do that?</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Do you get angry easily? Are you ready to snap at the drop of a hat? Anger is a fruit of the flesh, not the Spirit! James makes it a point to say, “Be SLOW to anger!” How can we do that? By doing what he says just before that, “Be QUICK to listen and be SLOW to speak.” The problem with many people is we barely listen, we hear what we want to, and we are thinking about a response as the person is talking. And as soon as they take a breath, no matter if they are finished talking, we interrupt and yell our concerns at them! That is not from God my friends...it’s from the flesh. How can we live according to the Spirit of God and let Him lead us? It’s a simple as being in the word and obeying what God says on a daily basis. God has given us a choice; we can read His word and obey it...or we can read His word and do our own thing. However, if we live according to our flesh, if we try to have a Savior without the cross, if we haven’t crucified our flesh, there will be consequences and they will last for eternity! We may be able to fool a lot of people, but we will NEVER fool God!

<itunes:subtitle>The Pharisees think they are going to try Jesus by bringing in an "expert" of the law. Spoiler alert: It didn't work!</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Throughout the rest of Matthew 22, the Pharisees and the Sadducees try to stump Jesus and prove to everyone that he is not the Messiah as he claims. They send in some disciples along with some of Herod’s men and they get shamed. The Sadducees ask about the resurrection when they don’t even believe there is a resurrection! Jesus made them look foolish in front of the crowds and they were astonished by his answer. Then the Pharisees bring an expert in religious law to Jesus thinking he was smarter than Jesus and he could get. The job done. Wrong! Jesus answers his question and then takes the answer one step further because he knew the Pharisees weren’t following that commandment! After this attempt, they finally learn their lesson that, no matter how much wisdom they think they have, it’s no match for God’s and from this point on, they don’t ask Jesus any more questions. When are we going to learn our lesson?
