God’s grace gives us time to accept Jesus and live for him, even while people reject Jesus, doing their own thing, every second they live they are given grace because they have breath in their lungs and have the capability to accept Jesus and the sacrifice he made on the cross for our sins. But someday, that grace is going to turn into vengeance when Jesus returns. All of those who rejected Jesus will separated from God for eternity, never having another opportunity to repent of their sins and be washed in the blood of Jesus. Don’t let God’s grace run out on you. For you are our glory and joy.” Paul reminds them to keep walking with the Lord because he will come to the rescue soon, and he says the church at Thessalonica are his glory and joy. We put stock in so many of our accomplishments: bank accounts, houses, fancy cars, etc...but what about the people we have shared the gospel with? Have you won anyone to Jesus? But prior to going on this trip, Paul was warned by Agabus the prophet that if he went, he would die. Paul chose to go anyway, but God continued to use Paul, even while he was in jail awaiting his opportunity before Caesar. Every jailer, every person in the Praetorium heard the gospel because Paul, in his confinement, told them all about Jesus. The cool thing is, he converted some to Jesus! He knew man would blow it and he had a plan in place, that He would put on flesh, be tempted in every way we are, be the sinless sacrifice so that our sins can be forgiven, rose out of the tomb taking the authority from death and the grave, and now sits at the Father’s right hand interceding for those who accept His wonderful gift of salvation. The gospel, the plan, has been revealed to all. mystery, mysterious, clue, who did it, gospel, reveal, plan, forgiveness, sin, temptation, tempted, blessing Paul has been going on and on about how God has done everything, from creation to salvation to blessing us with blessings in heavenly places, through His Son, Jesus. It is clear in this parable that, as a follower of Christ, a disciple of Jesus, we have ONE job! That ONE job is to share the gospel of Christ, the death, burial. And resurrection of Jesus; a message of hope so that people will have an opportunity to say YES, their sins can be forgiven, and they can be a part of the kingdom of God. As workers for Jesus, our responsibility is NOT the harvest! The harvest is the angels responsibility and they will separate the wheat from the weeds.
