When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! He said it would be better to have a millstone tied around a person’s neck and be thrown into the sea and drown than to cause someone to fall into sin. And the first thing that comes from their mouth is, “Increase our faith.” This tells us two things: 1) They have faith; 2) They want to have greater faith! It was easy for the disciples to have faith in Jesus. They were handpicked by him, they lived with him for three years, they saw his miracles and heard his teachings, etc. but even with all of that, they still doubted him at times. We are just like them yet, we have it a little harder than they did and by that I mean we don’t have Jesus standing next to us, we can’t reach out and touch him so it makes it a little harder for us to have faith. But without faith, it is impossible to please God.
