<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<itunes:subtitle>The Pharisees were always doubting Jesus and most didn't believe in him despite the fact they could go to Lazarus' house and talk with him after he had been dead for four days!</itunes:subtitle>

<description>In this episode we take a deeper look at what it was like for Jesus when he was coming into Jerusalem. To do this, we take evidence from an eyewitness who heard and seen it all for himself, John. John tells us how the Pharisees had made a proclamation to all the people that if they saw Jesus, they were to come and report it to them so they could arrest him! These are the ones who should know who Jesus was since they studied and taught the law of God their whole lives yet, they saw Jesus as a freak, a weirdo, and there was no way that guy could be the Messiah. Even though they heard the account of the miracles, even though they could literally go to Lazarus’ house and talk with him about him being dead and in a tomb for four days, how Jesus raised him the grave, they said, “We don’t believe and we have to get rid of this guy!” We do the same thing today; the evidence is all around us, we can go and see artifacts that have been dug up and preserved that back up the authenticity of the Bible, yet we choose to reject Jesus just like the Pharisees and the religious leaders did!

<itunes:subtitle>Jesus tells the parable of the rich man and Lazarus and it gives us a peep into what eternity will be like depending on where where you will spend it! </itunes:subtitle>

<description>Jesus tells the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus was a poor man who sat at the gate of the rich man just wishing he could could have some scraps to eat from the rich man's table yet he was ignored on a daily basis. The only attention Lazarus received was from the local dogs who would come and lick his sores. Both Lazarus, and the rich man, die and Jesus tells how the tables were turned for eternity. Lazarus can be seen sitting with Abraham eating a delicious meal while the rich man is in tormenting flames, and he is the one now begging Lazarus. He is begging Lazarus to dip his finger in some water and put a few drops on his tongue to quench the heat. I believe Jesus told this parable because of the Pharisees that heard it and how they are the ones represented by the rich man who ignored the needs of the poor around them. And because they took advantage of the assets God had blessed them with and used them for their own personal gain, they will be paying the price for eternity unless they repent. Listen...hell is real. You can choose to believe that or not...it doesn't change the fact that hell is exists and if we continue to reject Christ and live for ourselves, like the 'Pharisees, we will spend eternity there with them in everlasting torment, wishing we could have someone drip some water on our tongues to quench the heat, wishing we had listened and been obedient, wishing that someone would help us escape the torture, but that will never happen. Don't choose hell...choose Jesus!

<itunes:subtitle>Jesus is going to raise Lazarus from the dead but would it be enough to raise people's faith? He has been dealing with doubt from the religious leaders, the Jews, and now he is getting it from his twelve disciples and his best friends! It comes to a boiling point as John points out that Jesus had anger from deep within. We need to be growing in our faith and not declining. How strong is your faith? Are you sure?</itunes:subtitle>
