What does Paul mean when he says, “You reap what you sow?” Is he saying like these ministries today, “If you sow money into my ministry and make me rich, you will receive a big ole blessing from God later.”? 100% no! That is not what he is saying at all! He is telling the church at Galatia to quit being conceited and selfish, to sow into the lives of others and help pull them out of sin. He is saying we are to have such communion, fellowship with one another that we can share burdens with another so we can pray for one another and walk along side of each other to keep us from falling. Then temptations come and, if we give, brings separation, like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. That is why it is crucial that we are in the word every day and that we are praying many times a day! No matter the social scale or our bank account, troubles, trials, testing’s, and temptations will come. Not only will they come, but death will come at some point too and the only thing that will matter when we take our last breath is: Did I know Jesus as my Lord and Savior? He was the treasurer for the group and he has been stealing money the whole time which tells us that Judas was greedy and he loved money. What better way to get paid big bucks than to sell out Jesus to the rich religious leaders in Jerusalem! And that is exactly what Judas does. For thirty pieces of silver, which he doesn't even keep, he sells Jesus to the religious leaders and from that moment on, he planned to commit premeditated murder. He was all excited because he thought he was in for sure but Jesus knew the man’s heart and how he loved his stuff so he tells the young man to go and sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor. He walked away sad but what is sad is he walked away without committing to the only one who could save him! Don’t make the same mistake! God wants our hearts and He will not take a backseat to anything or anybody!
