When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! At the end of chapter 1 Paul tells the church they are in this together and they are to remember their home is heaven, not here. Why? Because persecution is from the enemy and it tries to get one to give up the fight and lose all hope. It has happened just as he told his disciples on several occasions. Jesus was beaten beyond recognition, he was so weak he couldn't carry the cross so Simon had to help, he was nailed to there cross and put on public display to be humiliated for six hours. He would struggle to breathe in so much pain and agony when he cries out for the last time and dies. Joseph of Arimathea comes to Pilate and asks to bury the body of Jesus. Why did Jesus die such a cruel death on a cross? He died for my sin and your sin, so you and I could have our sins forgiven and have a relationship with the Father. She takes off to visit her relative, Elizabeth, for threee months and during that time, she begins to show. She comes home to see her soon-to-be-husband, Joseph, and he notices some changes in her body because she is showing...AND HE HASN'T HAD SEX WITH HER! "How can this be?" is a question I guarantee you he asked because he was going to divorce her before they were even married! Joseph was crushed. He laid down to get some rest and an angel comes to him in a dream and tells him, "Yo bro...this is God's will...everything is cool." How can this be? Two times, one excitingly asked and one asked with a broken heart. No matter our situation, God is in control and we need to focus on him.
