<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<itunes:subtitle>Peter's decision affected a lot of people in that room and so do ours! Be careful to choose righteousness and holiness....not sin!</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Paul confronts Peter because of his sin, his choosing to not fellowship with the uncircumcised Gentiles when the circumcised Jews came into the room. Paul lets Peter know that he is in sin and his sin has led others astray as well! We take a deep dive into the seriousness of sin and who it effects beside us. What we see is it comes down to who do we chain ourselves to, who are we bound to? Ourselves? Our flesh? Or Jesus? Do we gratify our flesh or do we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us? If we say Jesus, then do we live like it or do we unholy lives deceiving ourselves thinking we are in good standing with God. Lord, break every chain that bounds us to the things that hinder our relationship with You!

<itunes:subtitle>One of the most misused parables is the one Jesus tells about the prodigal son. In context, it's really about the older brother and how they represent the Pharisees who are mad over the people Jesus in ministering to. </itunes:subtitle>

<description>Right there with the parable of the lost sheep and the lost coin is the parable of the prodigal son. It is one of the most misused parables because, in context, it's really about the older brother and how they represent the Pharisees who are mad over the people Jesus in ministering to. The context for this parable as well as the other parables Jesus tells in Luke 14-16 is set up in Luke 14 when Jesus was invited to a Pharisee's house and he wants to get them to understand how they have blown their responsibilities as the religious leaders that were to be the example of God to the people. They were shunning the very people they were to be ministering to and would have nothing to do with them because they thought they were better and above them. Jesus used the brother who squandered everything to show the heart of the Father and the brother who stayed at home to show the heart of the Pharisees. Which are you?

<itunes:subtitle>The Pharisees question why Jesus hangs out with Tax collectors and notorious sinners. They would never do such a thing!</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Luke 15 starts off with the Pharisees questioning Jesus about the people he hangs out with. They believe if he were really God, then he would know what kind of people they are and he would never be hanging out with them. So Jesus is going to give them three parables that tell the Pharisees what his mission is, to seek and save the lost. The lost being those who know they are sinners, who need God, and want to serve him whole heartedly. Jesus wants these Pharisees to know what the heart of God is really about. So he uses the examples of sheep, coins, and people to get his point across.
