<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<description>Most people completely shut down when the preacher starts talking about needing money or when a missionary asks for support but even Paul knew how important money was to his ministry! He supported himself by selling tents as he traveled around the known world at that time but it wasn’t always enough to make ends meet because he talks about being content, even when he was starving! He points out the generosity of the church at Philippi and how they supported his work by sending money to him. He tells ten that the same God that supplied his needs will supply theirs. The reality is, it takes money to do ministry and God promises blessings on us if we help supply those financial needs!

<description>God means business when it comes to sin but salvation is even greater! He allowed Jesus to die in our place, to pay our penalty for the price of sin and Paul says we have to put our faith in Jesus...nothing else! And he uses Abraham, the father of the Jews, as an example of faith. Abraham was given several promises from God and he waited 25 years for Isaac to be born and Paul says Abraham's faith never wavered! It was his faith that God counted Abraham as righteous.

<description>Have you ever prayed for something and just got crickets from God? Nothing but silence? What did you do? Give up? Quit praying? That’s what most people do and they tend to get mad at God because they feel as if He doesn’t care. But the problem is not God, it’s us! We give up too soon and too easily! Jesus says to “Keep on asking, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking” and he tells God will come through! That is a promise and we shouldn’t doubt God…but far too many times we do! We don’t get an answer quick enough and we just quit asking, quit seeking, and quit knocking. We simply give up and move on when God is saying to us, “Have faith, trust Me, the answer is on the way…Hold on!” We need to encourage one another to keep the faith and not give up!

<itunes:subtitle>Jesus has died on the cross, was buried for three days, and came out of the tomb alive...just like he said he would do. He shows himself to his disciples several times in a forty day period to prove to them he is really alive and he wants them to try and grasp the concept of the kingdom. After those forty days were over he is talking with them on the Mount of Olives and he starts ascending into heaven! He gave hem a commandment before he left, "Wait...Wait for the promise of my Father and when the promise comes you will be my witnesses." The transition of power has taken place. The kingdom is now in the hands of the disciples!</itunes:subtitle>
