When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! Not only was the servant healed, he was healed instantly. He was healed as soon as Jesus proclaimed the healing. In Luke’s version of this story, we find out the servant was at the point of death. Evidently, this Roman soldier really cared about this servant. And for him to go to all this trouble to seek for Jesus and find him, asking him to heal this servant, also shows us the heart of this soldier. Even though he was high in ranks, battle tested, a manly man, strong and brae, he had a heart of compassion for his people, he cared for them, and Jesus saw this in the Roman soldier which is why he healed his servant. It all comes down to the heart. What about your heart? We can go back in history to prove these people existed so why do people continue not to believe? You can't argue facts! 32:27 no In Luke 3 we are hit hard with facts right off the bat! We are given people’s names, where they ruled, when they ruled, and there has been artifacts found that back up the information Luke gives us so why do people continue to not believe the Bible? By God’s grace and His mercy He provided us a sacrifice for our sins to be forgiven! And it was always His plan! God knew Adam would blow it and sin which is why He always had a plan to redeem man…He would send His own son to be the sacrifice that would cleans man from our sin. Jesus, the Messiah, knew what his mission was—the cross—and he never shy’s away from that mission. He died on the cross, shed his blood for the payment of man’s sin, was buried in a tomb for three days, and walked out of that tomb alive! Then he showed himself alive to many people over forty days, and then ascended back to heaven where he sits at the Father’s right hand, a place of highest honor, a place of power and all authority. It compelled Luke to write this gospel and he says from the very beginning, “I’m writing this so you know it is true. You may choose not to believe it, but that doesn’t change the facts! These people, including Jesus, were real people who walked on this earth and Jesus is the only one who died and came out of that grave alive!
