When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! After saying Jesus was chosen by God to be our High Priest, he goes on to tell his audience that God knows what they are dealing with and what they are experiencing in life, therefore they should not lose confidence in Jesus and keep the faith! He goes into detail how Jesus was human and was tempted and suffered persecution just as they are and he is here to help them if they would continue their walk with him. The rich young man comes to Jesus and asks him, “What do I have to do to inherit eternal life?” In other words, “What do I have to do to spend eternity with you?” Jesus tells him and as Jesus is talking the man interrupts and says, “I’ve done that since I was a kid.” Thinking he was in with ease, Jesus looks at him and says, “Good job. Now, go sell all your stuff that you have acquired with your riches, give the money to the poor, then, come and follow me.” The man was sad because he loved his stuff and he didn’t want to part with any of it so he walked away from Jesus…lost.
