Jesus was moved by their excitement and was filled with joy but he tells them, “Don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.” Miracles are awesome but the Miracle Worker is the greatest ever! So many churches, so many Christians today are looking for miracles when we should be looking for the miracle worker Jesus and drawing close to him. And that is the message Jesus had for those disciples! Rejoice, not in the miracles, but that your names are registered in heaven! I even put some new strings on my daughter's guitar yet it sat in her closet until I took it out and made a cool light for my room with it. I paid a lot of money for those guitars, they cost me a great deal. Even greater than these guitars, we have a Savior that paid a great price so our sins can be forgiven yet, unfortunately, many of us never pick up Jesus. Yes, God loves everyone but not everyone is saved! The ones who will be saved are the ones who repent of their sin, accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and does his will and not their own.
