When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! We can remember the details as if it just happened. When Mary poured the nard on Jesus feet he equated it with his burial. How many times did those people in that house go back to the cross when they smelled nard? 33:25 no Jesus is invited to Lazarus' house at Bethany because Martha and Mary have cooked a meal to honor him. While there, Mary pours nard on Jesus' feet and wipes them with her hair. The smell permeates the house and everyone there, including the disciples, heard Jesus say that Mary had done this to prepare him for burial. They had no idea what Jesus was talking about but they would by the end of the week for he would be crucified, buried, and resurrected! We can smell a certain smell and be instantly taken back in time to an event that happened in our life and remember the details well.
