<description>Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

<description>We finish the study of there Book of Romans in this podcast breaking down the final chapter, Romans 16. In his greetings, Paul mentions 29 people, 10 of which are women. We take a close look at these women, who they are, and what role they had in the local church at Rome. There are many in the church today that claim women should keep silent since the very person who wrote Romans said that to the church in Corinth. Do we have a contradiction by the author of these two letters? Absolutely not. Women are pertinent to the church back then as well as today! Women, know your role and do it well!

<itunes:subtitle>A Gentile woman moved Jesus too action with her "crumbs" comment...</itunes:subtitle>

<description>Jesus arrives to another region and is immediately met with a woman who was desperate but this is no ordinary woman. This woman was a Gentile so she had many things going against her. Gentiles weren’t very well liked by Jews and she was also a woman. In Jesus’ culture, women weren’t very respected, in fact they were treated much like shepherds. They weren’t even allowed to be a witness in court yet God used a woman to testify that His son was alive after the resurrection of Jesus. This Gentile woman was desperate because she knew Jesus could take care of her situation and this was her opportunity. She was not going to give up and go home when all she was given was silence and discouragement from Jesus and his disciples. When Jesus sees her faith, he was moved to action. You may find yourself crying out of God from a desperate place, it may seem like all you get from God is silence and that He doesn’t care, but if you will be persistent with your faith, God will come through, and He will meet your need.

<description>People want equality today but did you know Jesus was way ahead of his time when it came to equality? Luke 8 begins with three names of women who left everything to follow Jesus. Luke tells us these women were either healed of a disease or they had demons cast out of them. He mentions three by name, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, who was the wife of Herod Antipas' business manager, and a lady named Susanna. But Luke then mentions something interesting...he says there were other women that gave of their resources to help Jesus and his disciples. Fellas, we have to step up our game when it comes to serving the Lord especially in the our local church gatherings. Many churches would have closed their doors by now if the women have not stepped up! Thank you to all of the women who serve our Lord and Savior; those who minister to the needs of our communities and glorify God with their resources. May God bless you all...
