When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! Paul left Timothy in Ephesus to deal with people like this. People who sounded smart by telling myths and fables, using genealogies to sound educated and important, were leading people away from Jesus and destroying their faith. Right after he was baptized, the Spirit led Jesus to the wilderness where he would be tempted by the devil for a season. The devil used the same three temptations on Jesus as he does with us: he lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. How did Jesus not give into the temptations?
