Imagine your mind having a steering wheel and there is a fork in the road ahead. The road to the left leads to hell and the road to the right leads to heaven. If the power of sin has control of your thoughts, then you will automatically steer in the direction to the left. You will take the road that leads you farther away from God when you choose sin. If the Holy Spirit is dominating your thoughts, then you will steer to the right because you will take the road that leads you closer to God…Every…Time…In fact, Paul says if we don’t have the Holy Spirit living inside of us, controlling our thoughts, then we cannot please God!
